As the SES Coordinator, you will help ensure the compliance of the facility to Federal, State and Local Environmental, Safety, Loss Prevention and Health rules, regulations, and code. Assist in executing Continuous Improvement in the site's ISO 14001 and 45001 Environmental and Safety Management Systems.

Position-Related Duties and Key Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting and maintaining SES Programs, including, but not limit to: Behavior Based Safety, Monthly Safety inspections, LOTO, JSA/JHA, PPE, Hearing Conservation, Hazard Communication, Hazardous Waste, Forklift/Aerial Lift, and Security Programs.

  • Perform Emergency Equipment and other SES related Inspections.

  • Assist with camera, badging and key control systems.

  • Assist with fire prevention system vendor relationship/compliance.

  • Programs and assigns badges.

  • Actively assist in both safety & security incident investigations when required.

  • Conduct contractor site orientation training as needed.

  • Provide support for our SES permit processes (Hot Work, Confined Space, Working at Height, etc.)

  • Perform risk assessments and rankings of hazards for the facility's registry of Aspects and Impacts.

  • Assist with site sustainability program, including recycling vendor liaison and tracking monthly energy spend.

  • Participate in corrective action programs and hazard mitigation processes.

  • Serve as a member of the Safety Committee, First Aid and Spill Response Team

  • Lead proactive teams toward accomplishing specific SES-related objectives and targets.

  • Adhere to all company, safety and GMP practices and policies.

  • Conduct other training as required.

  • Ensure that all tasks are performed toward achieving the safety, quality, service, and cost.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

Education and Technical Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or Associates Degree + 2 years' experience, or a High School Diploma with 4+ years of experience.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

  • Knowledge of key Occupational Safety requirements and procedures

  • Knowledge of key Environmental requirements and procedures

  • Solid experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other necessary software

  • Must be organized and able to set up a clear organizational structure.

  • Good intercommunication skills with all levels of the organization

  • Ability to work on all shifts, including temporary periods on off shifts.

  • Ability to work extended hours and/or overtime as required.

  • Experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably in a food-related business.

  • Ability to lead special project teams and committees.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Experienced and comfortable with presenting to small or large groups

  • Project management experience

  • Must be able to interpret reports and data.

  • Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment.

  • Able to move freely about all facility areas, platforms, catwalks, and levels without restrictions.
