The Coca-Cola Company Principal Lab Analyst in Apopka, Florida

As a Lab Analyst you'll assure the quality of key ingredients used in our company's products worldwide. Perform basic and complex testing of materials using the required chemical, analytical and/ or sensorial methodology according to quality guidelines. You'll drives continuous improvement (OE) within lab operations to enhance quality and service while reducing the costs.

What You'll Do for Us

  • Act as ingredient quality expert and consultant by responding to targeted questions while making alignment with internal stakeholders both globally and locally.

  • Ability to perform basic and complex testing of materials at a high level by using the required chemical, microbiological, physical, analytical and/or sensorial methodology as required on ingredients, intermediates and finished products and report results.

  • Ability to develop subject matter expertise in specific field to support the evaluation of data/information, providing solutions to problems, educated opinions and decisions on ingredients, syrups, beverages, concentrates or other substances to provide support to bottlers and customers.

  • Advanced Field Specialty (e.g. Analytical Chemistry, Microbiology, Spectroscopy, Ingredients, Packaging, Sensory or others): Expert ability to integrate advanced techniques and to apply the most appropriate techniques to a broad range of problems.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of Good Laboratory Practices; Laboratory/Analytical Instrumentation, including instrumental theory, operation, maintenance, and ability to operate, modify and repair laboratory instruments, LIMS, and Quality Management Systems.

  • Ability to communicate technical information both verbally and in written reports that is understandable by technical and non-technical audiences; to produce report of results and recommendations that is clear and concise. Build technical relationships.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Master of Science or Bachelor of Science or Chemistry or related field

  • 5+ years' experience in either field of R&D or Quality assurance or Laboratory operations.

  • Project Management skill and experiences.

  • Knowledge for Microbiology or Analytical chemistry. Knowledge for Food thermal process, Beverage processing, Disinfectant are preferable.

  • Be familiar with hazardous chemicals and laboratory safety.

  • Good oral and written communication skills to make alignment with cross-functional teams to build consensus on technical viewpoints.

  • Highly motivated to protect quality in holistic view and collaborative behavior.

  • Innovative and logical thinking for development of business outputs.

  • Experiences for root cause analysis and problem solving based on facts.

  • Business level of English (Conversation and writing)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer applications
