Since 1984, the Foundation has donated more than $1.4 billion to philanthropic programs worldwide. In 2021 alone, the Foundation contributed almost $ 1 10 million to approximately 350 organizations globally. The Foundation’s areas of giving include Sustainable Access to Safe Water, Circular Economy, Climate Resilience and Disaster Preparedness and Response, Economic Empowerment and the Employee Matching Gift Program.

THE POSITION

Th e Senior Director, Impact Investing , will build and lead the Foundations Impact Investing function. The recently established function seeks to deploy Program-Related Investments (PRIs), primarily debt and guarantees , towards programs and institutions advancing the Foundation’s global goals . The PRIs will be made on behalf of the Foundations programmatic areas .

This position offers a rare opportunity to work on high-impact programs across the world . The work will be fast paced, often ambiguous, and spread across multiple and diverse projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will need to blend flexibility and curiosity with disciplined execution .

Key responsibilities and activities:

  • Play a leadership role in a cross-team process to implement the Foundation’s global strategy and programming .

  • Manage the investment strategy and investment policy.

  • Shape and execute industry leading impact investments e nsuring a focus on results and accountability .

  • Lead global investments including sourcing, due diligence , structuring, compliance .

  • Make recommendations to the Foundation’s Investment Committee.

  • Lead regular portfolio analysis to report on results against short-term and long-term goals, evaluate risks and generate maximum impact. 

  • Cultivat e and/or strengthen relationships at established and emerging partner institutions including foundations, impact investors, development finance institutions .

    EXPERIENCE

  • Investment Experience: Significant investment experience and ability to build an investment portfolio - bring ing creativity and rigor to deal structuring, often with multiple partners. Will have an investment or finance background. Experience in, or familiarity with, innovative partnership models and giving tools.

  • Geographic Exposure: Robust cross-cultural experience and sensitivity, ideally including experience working with global institutions .

  • Collaborat ion & Influenc e : Strong diplomatic skills and a naturally collaborative approach . Strong presence and influencing skills with the ability to lead without formal power in a networked organization.

  • S takeholder Management: Ability to manage multiple stakeholders , including senior executives .

  • Financial Leadership: Experience in budget planning and manag ement and maintaining high standards of fiscal governance .

    REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

    The positions will report to Saadia Madsbjerg, Vice President of Global Community Affairs at the The Coca-Cola Company and President of The Coca-Cola Foundation.

    LOCATION As a global team, we aim to provide location flexibility to our associates, when possible.

    However, there may be some situations where relocation will be required. The location of the positions and whether or not relocation benefits are provided will be discussed at the time of offer. In instances where relocation is provided, current mobility policies will apply. All policies are subject to amendment, revision, or discontinuance at the sole discretion of the Company. 

    TRAVEL

    Estimated 25-35% with both domestic as well as global travel.
