The Coca-Cola Company Manager, Compliance and Innovation in Atlanta, Georgia
In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing the innovation process and providing end-to-end regulatory guidance and solutions to innovation projects across different categories.
You will collaborate across the organization with different Functions & OU’s to enable the innovation pipeline. The position’s portfolio of projects will include expanding of the competitive landscape analyses through a global lens to include key regulatory opportunities and hurdles, claims analyses, and credible pathways to succeed in key benefit areas.
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:
Manage various innovation initiatives and projects across different categories and provide SRA (Scientific and Regulatory Affairs) leadership in all stages of the innovation process, including risk assessments based on global regulatory landscape and sharing scientific trends for the development of new products
Lead and coordinate multi-market innovation projects by providing scientific and regulatory expertise on new product concepts, new ingredients, packaging, and claims
Liaise with GD&I, RtE, OUs, and Marketing on innovation initiatives for global projects
Identify and monitor potential regulatory risks and opportunities and ensure tracking of local, regional and global regulatory issues and emerging trends that can impact the innovation strategy of our ingredients, products, packaging, brands, etc.
Map the existing SRA (Scientific and Regulatory Affairs) innovation & compliance processes across OUs and determine improvement and enhancement opportunities
Support setting up core project teams and communication routines and identifying key stakeholders
Make sure all project information, such as action items and key milestones, is tracked, kept up to date, and made accessible to all the stakeholders
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve any issues that may arise during the project
Coordinate with other projects, processes, and operations
Support team in the implementation and socialization of new innovation & compliance processes, routines and governance frameworks
Proactively seek feedback on the project and direction of work from team members and stakeholders
Socialize the use of different tools that automate the compliance & claims assessment process across different functions
Develop and manage internal processes, databases and tools to facilitate regulatory compliance processes
Keep the project leads and core team informed at all times; ensure transparent & open communication.
Education Requirements: Relevant degree in Food Science, Nutrition or related disciplines with experience in Project Management, IT and Regulatory Compliance. (Master’s degree preferred)
Related Work Experience:
More than 6 years of work experience in the food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industry, specifically in: regulatory product compliance, commercialization, and innovation
Project Management experience, especially in cross functional and cross geographic settings
Able to and comfortable working with various internal and external stakeholders across time zones
Demonstrates excellent communication skills & coordination capabilities to lead different projects
