The Coca-Cola Company Operational Excellence Digitalization Manager in Lahore, Pakistan

Position Overview: (2-3 sentences)

The role is the main driver of Operational Excellence and is a leadership role within the plant to the Plant GM, a key member of the Plant Leadership Team providing strategic and tactical inputs to all aspects of Operational Excellence and Transformation.

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities: (Top 5-8 core responsibilities)

  • Partnering and Value Creation

  • Conduct Voice of the Customer (internal and external) analysis, focus group discussions, structured interviews and research to identify potential areas for improvement in support of strategies.

  • Work closely with the Plant GM and Leadership Team, as well as CPS Global Transformation / OE to drive transformational productivity in order to meet growth expectations.

  • Build a close working relationship with the different CPS Transformation / OE workstreams and participate actively in the global discussions, to ensure effective support to implement global initiatives and programs across the plant.

  • Provides internal consulting and services on all matters relating to Operational Excellence for the plant.

  • Facilitate improvement projects based on data analytics

  • Implementation of OE Key programs and Program Management Office

  • Ensure the plant comply with agreed global OE standards.

  • Define and implement a robust assessment plan to bring all functions in the plant to the required Business Excellence maturity levels.

  • Establish PMO routines to drive improvements including coaching on OE approach, principles and methodologies.

  • Ensure discipline in the application of OE systems, tools and techniques for continuous improvement across the plant

  • Serve as part of the CPS Global OE Team to deliver on regional and global OE. initiatives keeping closely connected on recent OE developments and current thinking.

  • Develop, communicate and implement OE strategies and programs, including the development of the continuous improvement standards, infrastructure, recognition program to build value creation culture.

  • Provide direction and leadership on issue resolutions and risk mitigation

  • OE Capability Building and Development

  • Completing SOEL capability development program.

  • Coach and train plant associates at all levels on OE principles, systems, tools and methodologies. This includes also 6 Sigma systems and tools.

  • Identify capability gaps relating to OE and make recommendations and plans to close those gaps.

  • Develop and deliver sustainable and comprehensive OE training and development curriculum in partnership across all functions.

  • Jointly develop and implement OE culture improvement plans to ensure the right mindsets & behaviours are adopted and sustained by the plant.

  • Provide the team with leadership, direction and coaching to achieve objectives and improve performance and capability.

  • Leading Change Management and influencing organizational culture change, reinforcing behavioural change. Be a consistent role model and develop OE change agents.

  • Performance Management

  • Driving Performance Management culture and system at the plant, enabling organizational unity and engagement through enhanced communication and cross functional collaboration (plus enhanced inter-plant collaboration and learning for CPS)

  • Establish performance review routines to drive improvements, making sure dashboards for performance Review are available and tracked for feedback and escalation.

  • Transformation

  • Using the power of analytics and industry 4.0 techinques to transform the plant’s processes and ability to manage the plant

  • Driving digitization in operations in order to enhance the experience of our font-line staff, making it easier to get things done, by developing and/or replicating digital solutions as part of the Transformation, enabling real time system connection as much as possible and minimize duplication and re-work.

  • Sponsor and develop a digital team at the plant and ensure future capability development plan for the team.

  • Support use cases roll out by identifying low cost automation which are relevant for implementation at the plant.

  • Once fully deployed, the combined transformation initiatives will result in a modern,

digitally connected, more agile and more productive CPS. Furthermore, our

Education Requirements:

  • University Degree

  • Accreditation in LEAN and/or 6 Sigma (Black Belt) ; implementation experience required

  • Project Management certification preferred; significant experience required

  • MBA qualification desirable

Related Work Experience:

  • At least 5 years of Food and/or Manufacturing integrated environment work experience with a minimum 3 years of leading Lean/Operational Excellence experience

  • Project Management experience (in multi-cultural setting preferred)

  • Proven Lean/OE project implementation leadership experience

  • Proven track record in managing and developing people and delivering results
