The Coca-Cola Company Director, Strategic Insights in London, United Kingdom

A part of the Coca-Cola Europe-wide Strategy team, the Strategic Insights & Analysis team is in charge of bringing a holistic understanding of our business environment to the European organization, by providing a relevant and comprehensive set of insights. We contribute to identifying and prioritizing opportunities for growth as well as refining our strategies, both leveraging existing datasets and creating new research. The key focus areas of the team are strategic planning, competitive intelligence, horizon scanning, shopper research, analytics, innovative tools and methodologies, support to cross-functional strategic projects, and capability building. We work in close collaboration with multiple teams, including Human Insights, in-market Strategy teams, Commercial teams, Finance, Platform Services, etc. as well as our European bottlers.

Key Responsibilities: Connecting insights to support the Europe Strategy leads in framing and aligning on prioritization of key issues and opportunities

  • Lead the creation of actionable insights leveraging multiple sources of information to nurture a compelling business strategy within Europe.

  • Identify opportunities to close knowledge gaps/improve insights and then design and execute ad-hoc research projects or analysis to address these gaps.

  • Support the development of LRP and ABP by providing key insights relevant for the region.

  • Coordinate with Coca-Cola bottler teams to ensure relevant alignment on data, insights and opportunities.

  • Participate in Global, European or market-level cross-functional projects, being the voice of strategic insights.

Building future insight capabilities

  • Contribute to the evolution of our research capabilities and insights tools required for the future, in connection with global expert teams.

  • Collaborate with Platform Services on the development of relevant analysis and tools.

  • Identify opportunities to leverage new digital tools and AI in the development of insights, and implement new solutions.

Communicating with key stakeholders

  • Influence top management decisions, e.g. by participating in strategic projects.

  • Partner with other functions, particularly with Markets/Commercial/Marketing/Finance to synthetize market trends/insights into actionable regional business opportunities.

  • Collaborate with Europe Strategy community, helping them leverage insights across multiple data points to localize the strategy, identifying local insights relevant for the whole region and driving best practices for insight building.

Related Work Experience:

  • Essential experience: experience in Strategy, Market Research and Analytics related areas.

  • Proven trajectory as project leader, collaborating with and influencing multifunctional peers

  • Experience with research agency or consulting a plus

Functional Skills: Required skills:

  • Problem framing and problem-solving capabilities to better direct analysis requirements.

  • Strategic thinking around industry and competitive assessment.

  • Storytelling to translate data and insights into powerful business stories.

  • Market research proficiency: qualitative and quantitative methodologies.

  • Understanding of the different sources of data required to drive choices and solutions to the business. Intermediate to advanced analytics foundations to read, interpret and challenge different analytical tools.

  • Strong analytical, data interpretation and synthesis skills to convert complex models and data into applied conclusions.

  • Strong project management and agency management capabilities.

  • Consumer and commercial insights experience.

  • Ability to converge contextual data from multiple countries into an OU-specific perspective without losing the power of local insights.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to drive projects forward in a network environment and across the system.

  • Facilitation skills and business acumen to drive better conversations into practical applications.

  • Ability to effectively navigate ambiguity in an autonomous manner.

  • Excellent oral and written English required, other European languages are a plus.

Desirable skills:

  • Research design fundamentals (sampling, statistics, hypothesis definition and evaluation).

  • Experience in Digital/AI field.

  • Bottling partners key data sources and recurring analysis methodologies.

Travel requirements : up to 25% travel required
