The Coca-Cola Company Senior Data and Analytics Architect in Sofia, Bulgaria

Position Overview:

For our The Coca-Cola Global Delivery Center in Sofia, we are looking for a Senior Data and Analytics Architect to lead and contribute to the design, development and management of data and analytics solutions that drive business growth and productivity.

As a Senior Data and Analytics Architect, you will be responsible for the overall design and development of scalable, globally distributed, robust, and secure products and tools related to data processing, reporting and advanced analytics. You also will be responsible for cross-functional relationships, communication with stakeholders and leadership members, strategic planning of technical, financial and resource aspects related to the data and analytics area and beyond.

You will be expected to work with the users of data and analytics services to understand the technical and business context, to design or re-design solutions. You will work in a network of data engineering experts from all over the world, following enterprise standards and industry best practices. You will be supported and expected to learn constantly new technologies, to improve your skills and constantly track the latest industry achievements. You will be expected to lead the development and to act as an owner, to be self-driven and to ensure achieving the goals. The contribution includes hands-on activities and support to other team members and business stakeholders.

What You’ll Do for Us:

  • Conduct business and data analysis activities and translate business needs and change requests into a conceptual, logical, and physical architecture design of а solution, including coordinating the technical teams needed to deliver the design, including information security.

  • Ensuring the architecture design is aligned to the conventions and standards on place. Proactively identifies and addresses technical strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats across the application landscape.

  • Technical leadership of agile teams with expert knowledge to approve their work and ensure the proper implementation.

  • Design, data modeling, develop and deployment of end-to-end Data and Analytics solutions including ETL, data processing, data modeling, visualization in form of reports and dashboard, security and creation of interfaces to other systems.

  • Maintenance, performance tuning, testing, troubleshooting, and support including delivery of technical documentation following DevOps principles.

  • Evaluate and improve existing D&A systems and collaborate and integrate with the other functions.

  • Build a shared understanding of the solution with the capacity for communicating that vision though technical materials, verbal presentations, and facilitating inter-team discussion.

  • Drive innovation, be mastermind, clarify the impact and ensure the highest value delivered by the team

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required, BSc/BA in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant field

  • 8+ years proven experience in design and development of data and analytics solutions

  • Expert level knowledge of DBMS, ETL, and OLAP principles and frameworks

  • Experience with Spark and Big Data

  • Experience with data reporting and visualization solutions (preferred Microsoft Power BI)

  • 2+ years of knowledge and experience with Cloud development

  • Experience with Azure services for data and analytics, especially Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Analysis Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL DB.

  • Required Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification. Higher level certification is highly appreciated.

  • Proven abilities to take initiative, to act as an owner and be innovative

  • Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude

  • Experience with Scrum framework for agile software development and DevOps principles

  • Development languages:

  • Required expert level knowledge and experience with SQL, DAX and Python

  • Proven experience with software development and data processing

  • Knowledge of Scala, PySpark, and C#

  • Knowledge of Java, Web development is considered a plus.
