The Coca-Cola Company Senior Manager, OU Commercial Execution in Tokyo, Japan

Position Overview:

This role will drive profitable growth by leading the bottlers1 to execute best-optimized sales activities in market. Providing thought leadership, best practices in other markets and pilot programs, designing of PICOs2 that we will realize in collaboration with the bottlers.

Conduct regular communication as well as recommendation on course-correction programs when needed, both to the bottler and internal functions throughout the process.

Need to demonstrate thought leadership to bottlers for capturing growth based on Country/Channel situation. Articulate the effective and efficient process to achieve the target, with the tools and learnings from other OUs*3 to drive quality distribution and execution of our brands in-store.

One specific requirement for this position is to exchange learnings and activity plans between markets or beyond countries and OUs. Within our OU, there exists clear differences in terms of Channel Mix/Category Mix, accordingly strategic focus and capability strength are different.

This requires both analytical skills and leadership skills toward stakeholders. Also, need to provide the learnings from JK OU to Global CCL community

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and implement a new practical Execution model in collaboration with the bottlers

  • Development and documentation of Execution process and procedures, as well as how we implement key supporting methods/tools such as 'Segmentation' and 'Order generation.'

  • Exchange learnings and activity plans between markets beyond countries or OUs.

  • Proposal of guidelines on implementation to expand core SKU coverage & SOVI in-store/POCs, based on the practical market/channel situation and KO positioning analysis (Leader/Challenger/New entry)

  • For efficiency improvement, optimized routing plan based on customer segmentation is required.

  • Need to adapt the global best practice so that we can increase the efficiency of works

  • Overviewing market strength, adapt and install the strength of each market in practical ways.

Education Requirements:

University/ Bachelor's degree

Related Work Experience:

Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience such as Trade Marketing planning, Account Maager or Channel Planning

Functional Skills:

  • Holistic planning capability for capturing the growth and efficiency improvement

  • Detect the bottle neck and identify the root-cause. Prepare the counter plan in the practical way

  • Analytic capability: Need to analyze new and existing data (consumer, shoppers, channels and customers data, shipment data, Syndicated data... ) and provide interpretation/implication. Triangulate different sources of data to come up with clear commercial propositions

  • Ability to influence stakeholders

  • English communication skill to contribute to global CCL community
